Our team was out at the 2026 Bungendore Show in NSW over the weekend and we were proud to sponsor the day. It was a great opportunity to meet with local residents, answering questions about our existing Capital and Woodlawn Wind Farms near Lake George. Community members also had an opportunity to discuss the investigation area for our proposed Pylara Wind Farm next door.

The Bungendore Show was founded in the 1840's and is a much-loved local tradition that brings together businesses, producers, community groups and families across the Lake George / Bungendore region. The team particularly enjoyed the livestock and equestrian events, the sheep demonstration and cattle competitions. The event also showcased the region's fantastic produce and agricultural heritage. 🚜🐎

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand throughout the day, and to the organisers and volunteers who helped make the event such a success.

🌱 Fantastic to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) Annual Conference held in Cairns. We connected with local government representatives from across Queensland to discuss how renewable energy projects can deliver lasting benefits to regional communities.

🤝 Under this year’s theme, “Councils are your every day”, the conference highlighted the important role local councils play in supporting Queensland communities.

A big thank you to everyone who visited our booth, participated in our questionnaire and shared their perspectives on the future of Queensland’s energy landscape.

⚡ We look forward to continuing to build strong partnerships with local councils and regional communities across Queensland.

We were proud to support the 2026 Tackle World Bundaberg Monduran Family Fishing Classic in Gin Gin, continuing our partnership with Monduran Anglers and Stocking Association (MASA) for a third consecutive year. 🎣

As part of our support, we sponsored event awards and provided branded fishing shirts and three marquees.

One of the highlights was the largest barramundi caught by an adult on Sunday, measuring an impressive 111cm! Our team also got involved, trying their hand at catching a fish of their own.

Congratulations to MASA and everyone involved in another fantastic event bringing the Bundaberg community together! 💚

🐧 Our Volunteer Week activities wrapped up in Melbourne, with our team becoming Penguin Guardians at St Kilda Pier!

Working alongside the Port Phillip EcoCentre, our volunteers got involved in a range of hands-on conservation activities supporting the health and habitat of St Kilda’s Little Penguin colony.

Together, our team:
🌱 Planted trays of Rounded Noon Flower to help stabilise coastal dunes.
♻️ Collected bags of litter, removing approximately 20 kg of waste from the environment.
🌿 Removed invasive weeds from the West Beach Restoration area to help protect native vegetation.

A rewarding afternoon working together, learning more about local conservation efforts and making a positive contribution to Melbourne’s coastal environment. 💚

Twenty members of the Iberdrola Australia team recently joined forces with representatives from the Millicent Field Nats Society and Wattle Range Council for a day of planting at Lake McIntyre Flora Reserve in Millicent, South Australia, near our Lake Bonney Wind Farms, as part of this year's Iberdrola Australia Sustainability Event. 🌱

Together, the group planted native species including Rytidosperma spp. (wallaby grass) and Acacia pycnantha (golden wattle) to help restore habitat for local insects and birdlife. 🐞🐦‍⬛

It was a hands-on day for team-building, and an important opportunity to work alongside the community groups, council representatives and stakeholders who care for this part of the Limestone Coast every day.

Restoring habitat here matters to us because it's also home to many of our renewable energy assets, and being good neighbours means looking after your backyard.

We were proud to support the inaugural City of Lights Festival in Tamworth, helping bring the Tamworth C*D to life across two vibrant nights of light, music, culture and community on 25 and 26 September.

Celebrating Tamworth’s unique history as one of the first cities in the Southern Hemisphere to switch on electric street lighting, the festival showcased lighting projections on buildings and much loved landmarks while supporting local businesses and a thriving night-time economy.

Congratulations to the Tamworth Business Collective and all partners involved in delivering such a memorable community event.

🌿 In Sydney our team headed to Centennial Park as part of our company-wide Volunteer Week.

Volunteers spent the morning getting their hands dirty, removing weeds and introduced plants from native bushland and helping support the preservation of the park’s natural environment.

It was a great opportunity to step away from the office, spend some time together and make a practical contribution to the local environment. 🌱

Thank you to the Centennial Parklands Foundation for having us, and to everyone from the Sydney team who volunteered their time.

🌱 Our Volunteer Week continues in Queensland!

Members of our team in Brisbane rolled up their sleeves with the Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee to help restore and protect the local environment.

The team got hands-on propagating local native plant species for Bushcare sites across the catchment and supporting habitat restoration for the endangered Squirrel Glider.

A great way to kick off Volunteer Week and spend some time together while contributing to an important local conservation effort. 💚

💜 This week our team is spending time volunteering across the country as part of our company-wide Volunteer Week.
Kicking things off in Gippsland - our team spent time at Foodbank Victoria's Morwell Community Food Centre, helping prepare food for distribution across the region.

Our volunteers got hands-on picking and packing food orders, sorting donations, and helping serve meals directly to the community in the Social Cafe, supporting the important work being done to help get food where it’s needed most.

It was fantastic to be back supporting the initiative and contributing to an organisation making a meaningful difference across the region.

A big thank you to everyone involved and to the team at Foodbank Victoria's Morwell Community Food Centre for having us.
