Panel by panel, this industrial paint spray booth is coming down.

Because this system is being relocated and reinstalled at a new customer’s facility, the teardown has to be methodical. Each wall panel is carefully removed, identified and staged so the booth can be reconstructed properly at its new home.

It’s slower than simply tearing it apart — but that’s the difference between demolition and a proper industrial relocation.

One panel at a time, we’re getting this booth ready for its next chapter.

Piece by piece, this industrial paint spray booth is coming apart.

For this job, the goal isn’t disposal — it’s relocation. The entire booth is being carefully dismantled so it can be reinstalled at a new customer’s facility.

Here, our team is working through the exhaust system, disconnecting and removing each section of ductwork in a controlled sequence. Every component has to be handled with the next install in mind, which means keeping track of how it comes apart, protecting reusable pieces, and making sure nothing gets lost in the process.

It’s decommissioning with a second life already planned.

This facility clean out is officially on the move.

We’ve started the process of loading equipment and material out of the building and onto trucks — but on a job like this, it’s not as simple as just clearing everything out.

Some equipment is being relocated to the customer’s new facility, while other material is being removed as scrap. That means every piece has to be identified, sorted and handled accordingly before it ever leaves the floor.

It’s a massive clean out, but the details matter just as much as the heavy lifting.

More loads going out, more floor opening up, and a lot more transformation still to come.

Another ongoing job for the Fen team — rigging out an industrial paint booth for relocation.

These photos show one of the bigger pieces coming down: the motorized overhead door assembly.

Because this booth isn’t being scrapped, the job is about a lot more than simply taking it apart. The entire system will be transported and reinstalled at a new customer’s facility, which means every component has to come down carefully and in the right sequence.

Hardware, brackets, motors, tracks, panels and individual components are labelled and documented as they’re removed so the crew on the other end knows exactly where everything belongs.

Careful dismantling now means a much smoother install later.

More to come as we continue rigging out the rest of the booth.

One of the first steps in this plant cleanout: taking down hundreds of suspended linear fluorescent light fixtures.

Before the larger equipment can start coming out, our team has to work from the top down.

That means using lifts to access each fixture, safely disconnecting the electrical, removing the lamps and fixtures, taking down the chains and supports, and clearing everything out of the way for the next stages of the decommissioning.

It’s repetitive work, but on a building this size, the scale adds up quickly.

And this is only the beginning. Floor to ceiling, this place is coming apart.

This is what “before” looks like.

Our team has started work on a new full-scale plant cleanout, and in just a few weeks, this entire facility will look completely different. Equipment, racking, inventory, machinery — floor to ceiling, it all has to go.

From these photos, it might look like a crazy amount of work. And it is.

But large, complex industrial cleanouts like this are exactly what our team is built for. We’ve tackled projects of this scale numerous times, and it all comes down to having the right people, the right equipment and a solid plan.

We’re just getting started.

Our electrical team began the rigging process by disconnecting the main controls, removing the lighting, pulling wiring and conduit, and separating the electrical components that once powered the entire paint booth.

It may not be the most dramatic stage of the job, but it is one of the most important. With the electrical systems cleared, the larger rigging work can begin.

One system at a time. One component at a time. This is how a safe, organized rigging starts.
