You’ll never see any of this again once the drywall goes on. So here it is.
From the outside in:
→ Standing seam steel roof. No exposed fasteners, nothing to work loose in a coastal wind.
→ Light gauge steel trusses and frame. G90 galvanized, roll-formed from the digital model of your home. Non-combustible, and with nothing organic anywhere in it — nothing to rot, warp, shrink, twist or feed an insect.
→ Continuous exterior insulation. Four inches of EPS wrapping the entire structure, unbroken. This is the layer that makes steel framing work: the frame sits inside the insulation rather than through it, so it never touches the cold. Warm frame construction.
→ Sheathing and a taped air barrier. One continuous surface, which is why we can put a number on airtightness instead of an adjective.
→ Ventilated cavity and cedar cladding. Coastal walls get wet. What matters is how quickly they dry.
→ Heat recovery ventilation. Filtered air in, warmth kept. Come August, that matters more than you’d think.
And when someone wants to go further, we swap the EPS for mineral wool behind a fully-adhered peel-and-stick membrane — a non-combustible envelope, sealed rather than fastened, built to hit Step Code 5.
We’re not a builder that happens to use steel. We’re a manufacturer. Every component is profiled, punched and numbered from a model before anyone picks up a tool — and every finished home is blower-door tested on our factory floor before it ever reaches your site.
That’s the difference between a house that should perform, and one we can prove does.
