In just one week’s time, we’ll come together at Thainstone Exchange for what promises to be a powerful and meaningful evening.

This is more than a fundraising event. It’s a chance to come together, raise awareness, and stand in support of children and families facing the daily realities of Cystic Fibrosis.

Over the past wee while, we’ve been working behind the scenes with some of our amazing supporters on something really special, and we’re SO thankful to those who asked us to be part of an evening that means so much ❣️

💜 Lungs of Steel – A Night with Purpose 💜

On Saturday 18th April, we will be coming together to celebrate a friendship, raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis, and support families across Scotland who are living with the condition every day.

Lungs of Steel has been organised by Derek Mitchell and John Wink, whose friendship and shared desire to make a difference inspired the event. For John, this cause is deeply personal, and alongside him, Derek wanted to do something meaningful — something that would open conversations about CF, raise understanding, and turn care into real, practical support.

Together, they chose to support The Leanne Fund, a charity that stands alongside children, young people and families affected by Cystic Fibrosis across Scotland. The Leanne Fund was founded in loving memory of Leanne Mitchell, who sadly passed away from Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 21. The Fund exists to carry forward a lasting legacy shaped by kindness, understanding and real support, helping to ease everyday pressures and offering reassurance, strength and hope when it is needed most.

With live music, a shared meal and an atmosphere full of warmth, Lungs of Steel will be a night where people come together not just to enjoy the moment, but to stand alongside families affected by Cystic Fibrosis — turning one evening into something that leaves a lasting impact.
