For mechanisms used in offshore oil & gas, plastic wear pads provide a low-friction, wear-resistant interface that helps reduce wear between sliding components and supports smooth extension.

Cast Nylon, PETP and PE are well suited to the job thanks to their self-lubricating properties and ability to perform under high pressure-velocity conditions. 💪

If manufactured from OMNIAMID MK, a high-performance cast polyamide, the plastic wear block can be replaced directly in the shipyard while the more expensive metallic structure is retained and reused.
