As we wrap up the year, we took some time to come together as a team for our Christmas do yesterday🎄

It was a great chance to step away from the day-to-day, reflect on the year we’ve had, and say thank you to the people who make Barton Jones Packaging what it is.

A big congratulations to Reece, our Employee’s Employee of the Year, recognised for his growth and development within manufacturing. A great example of what commitment and hard work can achieve.

8 hour shift between 07:00-17:00 (General shift is 08:00-17:00)

Barton Jones Packaging require an experienced Goods In Operative. We manufacture corrugated cartons and distribute all manner of packaging materials from small boxes of polythene bags up to multiple palletised items within 30 miles of our base in Letchworth.

We are looking to expand our team with a dedicated candidate to continue our growth and success with the aim of maintaining our number one status in our local delivery area of providing unrivalled service and customer care.

This is a great environment to work in with a friendly team.

Main duties will include:

• Receiving, checking, and recording incoming stock and materials
• Ensuring all deliveries match the order specifications and quality standards
• Organizing and storing materials correctly within the warehouse
• Updating stock systems and reporting discrepancies
• Assisting with general warehouse duties when required
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Ad hoc collections and deliveries to customers and suppliers using the company vehicles.
• Identifying and assist the implementation of improvements for the goods out/despatch areas

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a Goods in/Stock Control role preferred
• Forklift Truck Licence
• Computer literate
• Good Prioritising skills
• Good numeracy skills
• Team Player
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks (lifting, moving materials)
• A proactive team player with a good work ethic
