Another busy week for the team 👊

We’ve recently completed a full roof upgrade where we stripped back an old slate roof and removed a failing rubber valley that had been causing leaks. From there, we re-plyed the area and installed a durable Res-Tec fibreglass system to ensure long-term protection.

Both sides of the valley were re-felted and battened before laying new fibre cement slates, giving the roof a clean and modern finish. We also installed new lead work, a dry ridge system, and finished it off with brand new ridges for improved strength and ventilation.

A solid, watertight result built to last 💪

Another project successfully completed today ✅

This property presented several challenges, including extensive areas of damage and deteriorated battens. Customer had showers in rooms where there shouldn’t be!! 🚿❌

The flat roof was fully stripped, insulated, re-boarded, and finished with a new EPDM rubber roofing system 🏠 We also removed and corrected the improperly installed render around the dormer, before applying new felt, battens, and a clean white cladding finish ✨ New fascias and guttering were installed to complete the dormer refurbishment.

The main roof was stripped back and re-felted, followed by new battens and the installation of fibre cement slates 🔨

We’ve recently seen a big increase in rogue traders operating in the area, and it’s causing serious problems for local homeowners.

There are a lot of companies coming down from “up the line” carrying out roofing work — and unfortunately, many of these jobs are being completed to a very poor standard. Even worse, in the cases we’ve dealt with, customers have actually been heavily overcharged for work that hasn’t been done properly.

So far this year alone, we’ve already had to completely replace 3 roofs that were done incorrectly. These weren’t old roofs — they were recent jobs that failed due to bad workmanship.

• Cold callers knocking on your door offering roofing work
• Pressure to make a quick decision
• No proper address, reviews, or verifiable past work
• Large upfront costs with no clear breakdown or guarantee

Another job ticked off the list!
Chimney take down and then re felt and battened the whole roof, re laying the old concrete tiles.
Both box ends of fascia and soffit completely fell off once the roof was stripped so we repaired these.
Dry verge end caps fitted with dry ridge system.
New ridges fitted as the old ones broke as we were removing.

This customer knew how to treat her workmen!!
Endless amounts of biscuits, chocolate bars, Bakewell slices, homemade sausage rolls…. List goes on!!

Last week saw big changes to this conservatory!
Old polycarbonate roof stripped off and new 6x2 timbers fitted, boarded and fibreglassed with a 2m x 1m glass window installed.
Insulated with celotex, boarded and skimmed with 8 spots.
New fascia’s and guttering.

All of these right hand side hip ridges blew off during storm goretti.
Removed all the old mortar and re bedded them all back replacing a few damaged
