Daikin New Zealand The world’s leading air conditioning manufacturer - Daikin. Daikin History:

Daikin has been in Australia for over 40 years, and in New Zealand for almost 20.

During that time we have continued to expand, and remain extremely innovative. We’re now the largest manufacturer of ducted air conditioning units in the country with a local manufacturing facility in Sydney’s South West. Air conditioning remains Daikin Austraila's sole focus and we continue to be a world leader in this field.

Established as Clark Daikin Pty Ltd, selling water-cooled package

Began local production of Comfortzone and Ducted Fan Coil Units

Brisbane office and warehouse opened

Commenced operations in Auckland, New Zealand

Celebrated twenty five years of Daikin in Australia

Introduced ISO9002 standards (transferred to ISO9001)

Expanded the Sydney factory to 1,800m²

Canstar asked Kiwi heat pump owners to rate their satisfaction with their choice of heat pump brand by Overall Satisfaction, as well as important criteria such as Functionality, Quietness and Value for Money.

Daikin was the stand-out performer in Canstar's 2026 Heat Pump Awards. Not only is it the only brand to achieve a 5-Star rating for Overall Satisfaction and Value for Money, it's a top rating it earns across five out of six of our award categories.
