Progress update - massive two weeks across our 4 sites.

NORTH AVE - scaffolding dropped, exterior about to be ticked off before moving to the internal stage of this one.

SANDY LANE - pool in, garage door installed, painting finished, huge deck going down, kitchen and tile install starting.

CULLEN ST - roof framing in full force, iron and bricks on the way, about to be wrapped up soon.

KAHU DRIVE - new carpet down interior paint refresh complete, kitchen remodel next week, deck framing happening and new flooring to come.

Meet the team - Ollie

Ollie has been part of Elite for over 3 years now and decided he didn't want to feature in the "meet the apprentices" so he got qualified and became the newest qualified builder in our team as of  last week.

Congrats Ollie - well done on the hard mahi, learning, progress and dedication you've shown in the last 3 years with us working towards your qualification.
Ollie is a quiet achiever and has a strong desire to absorb knowledge and produce Elite workmanship. Ollie is a valued team member who always brings the laughs.

Ollie grew up in West Auckland before making the move north 3 years ago.  Out of work you'll find Ollie hanging with his young family with baby #2 due very soon.

Meet the team - Zac

Zac with a C is a new face to the Elite Building crew. Zac joined us in early 2026 and has jumped onto our Cullen street job.

Zac has over 10 years experience in the residential building sector with 6 of these refining his skills as a qualified builder in residential construction. Zac brings a wealth of knowledge to site and is steady measured builder which in turn leads to him being a huge asset to site, the foreman and rest of the team.

Born in aussie (we don't hold it against him) and raised in west Auckland, Zac and his wife have called Northland home for the last 3 years. Outside of work you'll likely see Zac working on his fitness, hunting or working on his own home.

All sites are all go:

NORTH AVE - Nu-wall going on, heading towards closing this one up.

SANDY LANE - finishing lines are done, painters in, pool loading.

CULLEN ST - mid floor down, landing second storey frames and Steel tomorrow. Check out that view!

KAHU DR - new windows in, bricks back on, plastered doing his thing.

Meet the Team - George

A Site foreman and qualified builder, George is relatively new to the Elite Building Team but an OG of Mangawhai.

George has called Mangawhai home since 2005 after moving from the UK at a young age. George attended both Mangawhai Beach School and Rodney College before forging into the construction sector.

George jumped onboard with us late 2025 and is our Foreman on our Cullen St build. He is enjoying sinking his teeth into this two storey architecturally designed home. George's ambitious nature and determination serves him well in being able to hit targets and timeframes. George is always highly prepared and ready for each stage of the build and although a joker outside of work onsite he is straight up and dialed in.

With strong roots in Mangawhai, George knows this place better than most. When not at work George and his fiancee spend their spare time with their doggie, fishing and enjoying the chilled beach lifestyle Mangawhai is famous for.

MERRY CHRISTMAS from the Elite Building Team to yours.

A big thank you to all our clients past and present, suppliers, sub trades and our epic Elite Team that we get to work with everyday.

2025 has been a year of growth, change, refinement and getting ready for a massive 2026 with some exciting projects to kick off soon. We appreciate all of our wider network who help bring our builds to life and we value those new relationships we have formed in business this year and those who have been alongside us for over 8 years.

Have safe and happy holiday break and we look forward to working with you in 2026!
