Our Birmingham Service Division recently completed a full rewind and repair on a 4,500 HP / 324 RPM / 4,000 V motor for one of our oil & gas customers several states away.

This project was a true cross-division effort:
🔹 Precision Coil & Rotor manufactured the coils for the rewind
🔹 Our Jacksonville, FL Turbine Mechanical & Machine shop performed the re-babbitt and machining work on the sleeve bearings

This was a critical asset with an expedited timeline, and our talented mechanics, winders, coil makers, and machinists delivered—on time and with exceptional quality.

A few weeks ago, Jay Industrial Repair’s Mobile Service Division welcomed the University of South Alabama’s Electrical Engineering class for an inside look at the world of electric motors!

Our team broke down motor theory, showed live rewind and repair demos, and answered tons of great questions. We love opening our doors to the next generation of engineers and sharing what keeps our industry moving!

These students are heading into their senior year and will soon be powering the workforce!
