No better way to head into Labor Day weekend than with a good old-fashioned cookout. 🍔🌭

Our Louisville and Hardinsburg shops fired up the grills this week, giving everyone a chance to grab some food, spend time together and enjoy a well-earned break heading into the holiday weekend.

We also got to celebrate a pretty big milestone for three of our own. Noah Campbell, Dalton Lee and Nate Banks have officially completed the Atlas Machinist Apprenticeship Program.

Finishing an apprenticeship takes years of showing up, learning the trade and putting in the work. We’re proud of these guys for sticking with it and continuing a tradition of skilled craftsmanship that has been a big part of Atlas for nearly 120 years.

Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

I was just trying to make my rounds and get some work done today, but the marketing guy kept following me around wanting to take pictures for National Dog Day. Kept calling me “handsome” and telling me to look at the camera.

Dude gives me the creeps.

After 38 years, we’re celebrating the retirement of longtime Atlas machinist Chris Fogg.

Chris came to Atlas at just 19 years old, back when our Machine Shop was still downtown, and built an incredible career from there. Over the years, he became known not only for his skill on the shop floor, but for his willingness to help others, share what he knew, and take on just about anything put in front of him.

For nearly four decades, Chris has been a steady presence at Atlas and a great example of the craftsmanship and people that have shaped this company.

Chris, thank you for 38 years of hard work, knowledge, and dedication. You’ll certainly be missed around the shop.
