Last week, we hosted our clients from Citygate Church in London and Airborne Church in Martinsburg, West Virginia, at the Fulcrum Acoustics headquarters in Massachusetts. During the visit, we had an extensive factory tour, plus had the opportunity to demo some of their latest advancements in immersive technology!

Two years ago, we were commissioned to design the technology and systems for a new children’s wing for our longstanding clients, Relevant Community Church in Omaha, Nebraska. This expansion is unequivocally and unmistakably tailored exclusively for elementary-aged students. Upon entering the facility, visitors are immediately captivated by the interactive 3-D wall art created by Iron Spirits, which we had the privilege of providing pixel mapping LED lighting technology from Environmental Lights, bringing the walls to life. The Relevant Kids Theater features LED screens from Imagine Screens, while the Sprouts Theater for Preschool boasts 100-inch screens from LG. Both spaces are equipped with Fulcrum speaker systems, Shure wireless microphones, RF venue antennas, Chauvet Lighting, and Allen and Heath at front of house. All of the AVL circuits are connected to a massive custom-designed LynTec remote breaker panel, and everything is controlled using advanced automation via QSYS touchscreen panels strategically placed throughout the building. The facility is equipped with 25 LG televisions and nearly 3 dozen JBL in-ceiling speakers, distributed throughout both the downstairs children’s wing and the upstairs office suites. Relevant Community Church continues to lead the way technologically for the Midwest region, as it has for nearly the past decade, and we are deeply honored to be a part of this journey with them.

Last week, our team traveled to Boston to upgrade our incredible friends, Pastors Chad and Julie Braswell, from Metro Church. This upgrade, which had been years in the making, involved replacing their nearly 15-year-old Midas audio gear, with the latest equipment from Allen and Heath, as well as a large 22’x9’ LED video screen from our partners at Imagine Screens. The Avantis console was integrated with D-Pack at front of house (FOH), along with a Waves server on a touchscreen Mac, ME-1 personal mixers for the band, and an iOS app which controls the vocal in-ear monitors (IEMs). Shure SLXD+ wireless microphones were utilized, along with RF Venue antennas. Once the installation was completed, our lead audio trainer, Dr. Patrick, flew in to train and commission the system. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback following its Sunday debut, from leadership, the band, and even the congregation. We were told it’s never sounded better in their ears, in their room, and on broadcast! …And that makes us happy!

A few weeks ago, we received an urgent call from our longtime friends at High Praise in Panama City. While renovating their newly acquired campus in Crestview, Pastor Micah Gay suffered a devastating fall through a 15-foot ceiling onto a concrete floor. He sustained multiple broken bones, a skull fracture, and even stopped breathing for nearly a minute. After several days in the ICU, it’s nothing short of a miracle that he’s alive and on the road to recovery. We continue to pray for his complete healing. In the middle of all this, Pastor Joshua Gay asked if we could send a small crew to help rig and focus stage lighting for their grand opening weekend. We were honored to step in and support. This was a powerful reminder that while many projects seem doable, some carry very real risks. We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve incredible churches like High Praise, and we’re so thankful that Pastor Micah’s story is one of hope, healing, and God’s faithfulness.

Our crew spent a significant portion of our summer working on some remarkable projects in the Midwest for some of our favorite clients! One of our standout projects was the new Kids Expansion at Relevant Community Church in Elkhorn, Nebraska. After starting the project over 2 years ago in the design phase, we dedicated several weeks to the project since May, meticulously wiring, installing, and programming this modern, vibrant, and distinctly child-friendly space, designed exclusively for the next generation. We can’t wait to present the completed product to you very soon!
