San Diego's water story is changing.

After decades of investment in water reuse, desalination, and storage, the region now has enough water supply to sell water beyond its borders.

But more water doesn't automatically mean lower costs. Utilities still need to fund major infrastructure investments, and ratepayers are seeing the impact. Sewer rates alone are projected to increase 62% over the next three years.
