What a fantastic day at the DeForest Windsor Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing! We enjoyed connecting with familiar faces and meeting plenty of new ones along the course. Our fiesta-themed "shot for a shot" station brought fun, laughs, and some great conversations. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and made it such a memorable event!

As momentum builds for transforming the Veterans Memorial Coliseum and Alliant Energy Center campus, many adjacent venues are also focused on creating a more vibrant, connected campus experience for all.

JSD has supported the entertainment district’s transformation through strategic reinvestment in its hospitality anchors. We helped convert the former Clarion Suites into the new Spark by Hilton - Madison Central, offering 140 guest rooms, upgraded amenities, and a skywalk connection to Exhibition Hall, making it the most convenient stay on campus. Our team delivered the ALTA survey, civil engineering for site improvements, and landscape architectural design to reposition the property as a welcoming, experience-driven destination for visitors and future district tenants.

That momentum continued at the Madison Marriott South (formerly Sheraton Hotel) and the adjacent Fairfield Inn Madison South, where JSD enhanced guest arrival and circulation through repaved entrance areas and comprehensive landscape architecture surrounding the buildings. Together, these improvements elevate the district’s hospitality core and set the tone for a more connected, vibrant entertainment environment. We are extremely excited to begin work on the campus this summer to enhance one of Madison's largest iconic venues!

JSD is proud to have been part of the New Glarus Public Library redevelopment! Working alongside OPN Architects, JSD provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services to support the development of a library designed to serve residents for years to come.

The new 9,000-square-foot library reflects the village’s Swiss heritage in its exterior architecture while offering a range of flexible spaces for learning, collaboration, and community programming.

As a Civil Engineer, Courtney helps bring projects to life through utility design, earthwork calculations, storm drainage solutions, and construction documentation. Super excited to join the design team for the groundbreaking of The Agrace Hospice & Dementia Village. This site is one of the first integrated facilities of its kind in the nation, uniting dementia-specific assisted living with a proposed grief support and hospice center.

The 14-acre Dementia Village introduces a visionary, human-centered model that moves away from institutional-style environments toward a warmer, more familiar village setting that prioritizes dignity, comfort, and connection. The community is organized into eight themed houses, each containing studio apartments designed to reflect residents’ life experiences and support reminiscence therapy.

JSD is providing a comprehensive suite of services, including an existing conditions survey, site planning & landscape architecture, civil engineering, and entitlement support.
