We are delighted to have recently handed over this Grade II listed barn conversion in the Yorkshire Dales.
The project involved converting the main 17th-century barn structure along with several smaller buildings that had been added over time. One of the key goals was to create a more cohesive layout by linking these separate spaces - To achieve this, we constructed an angled glazed link structure. A separate outbuilding was also converted to provide ancillary accommodation for guests, as well as a home gym.
Our clients were keen to respect the building’s historic fabric while also incorporating modern renewable technologies. These included the installation of air source heating and solar panels, carefully positioned on the south-facing roof elevation to maximise energy efficiency without compromising the building’s appearance.
