The National Day Parade (NDP) returns to the National Stadium today after 10 years. And there’s more to this iconic venue than meets the eye. 🇸🇬

Did you know that it is home to the world’s largest free-spanning dome? Its retractable roof spans more than 300 meters and weighs roughly 2,200 tonnes. That’s about the weight of four fully loaded A380s. ✈️✈️✈️✈️

So how do you move something that big? ABB technology helps make it happen.

We got Singapore’s 61st birthday celebrations started a little early at ABB! 🇸🇬

Inspired by Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!, we came together for some fun and a chance to connect with the wider community, creating alongside artists from ARTDIS and learning more about blood donation with the Singapore Red Cross.

There was another reason for cake too 🎂, with ABB in Singapore recently named a 2026 Champion of Good.

We’ve been part of Singapore since 1971, and we’re grateful to keep contributing to what comes next.

What does being a force for good mean?

For ABB in Singapore, it means helping industries use energy and resources more efficiently, creating a workplace where people can grow and belong, operating with integrity and safety, and giving back to the community.

We are grateful to have been named a 2026 Champion of Good, the highest level under the Company of Good Recognition System led by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre.

Earlier this week, we received the recognition from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong, together with Tony Soh, CEO of NVPC. ABB was one of only 63 organizations, out of 481 recognized this year, to receive Champion of Good status.

Behind this result are colleagues and partners who have shared their expertise, supported one another, served customers responsibly, and contributed their time and skills to the community.

Sharing a few moments from Swiss Weeks 2026, a celebration of Swiss culture, creativity and community in Singapore.

ABB was proud to support this year’s programme by the Embassy of Switzerland Singapore.

The opening event, Food for Thought: A Swiss Culinary Innovation Soirée, brought together Swiss and Swiss-linked innovators across food, technology, sustainability and culinary craft — showing how innovation can be experienced through taste, conversation and discovery.

Swiss Weeks later closed with a screening of Barry & Me, inspired by the story of Switzerland’s legendary St. Bernard rescue dog. The film’s themes of loyalty, courage and friendship gave our ABB colleagues another way to experience Swiss culture.

As a company with Swiss roots, ABB was pleased to see colleagues connect with the culture, ideas and community behind our heritage — and the values of precision, reliability and innovation that continue to shape our work in Singapore.
