Wondering what a real day in the field looks like at Santos?

Join Tom, Maintenance Manager for Coal Seam Gas, as he heads to Fairview, in the heart of Queensland, Australia.

From early morning pre-start meetings to equipment inspections, Tom’s working hard to lead projects at Santos that help keep our well pads and surface equipment in good working order.

His knowledge of oil and gas systems, and his natural style of leadership, help us to provide reliable, affordable energy to the world.

Like all things at Santos, he’s using these moments to connect with our people to make real progress, together.

And that energy? That’s energy where it matters.

Santos has achieved a critical milestone in the Beetaloo sub-basin in the Northern Territory. The Jibera South 1 appraisal well was spudded with early results supporting our work to prove the commerciality of this potential world-class gas resource.

• All three Velkerri shale layers consistent with pre-drill expectations, with the C shales better than prognosed

• Pilot hole drilled to 3,457 metres, with on-bottom drilling rates matching best-in-basin benchmarks

• Results provide confidence in a ‘cube’ approach, developing all three layers simultaneously, multiplying our effective acreage resource potential.

Today, Santos released our Q3 results, delivering record quarterly production and record free cash flow from operations as Barossa achieved steady production and our Pikka oil project came online.

📈 Record quarterly production of 26.3 mmboe, up 23% on the prior corresponding period
📊 Record quarterly free cash flow from operations of ~$1,069 million
🌏 ~50% of free cash flow generated from international operations in PNG and Alaska
🛠 Reliable operations across our base business, including PNG LNG, Darwin LNG, Moomba and GLNG

Santos Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Gallagher said the September quarter delivered the step-change in production and cash flow that Santos had been working towards, as Barossa achieved steady production and Pikka progressed its ramp up towards plateau production.

Santos’ Pikka phase 1 development has had an outstanding year of achievements from first oil in May and continuous production in June to the first crude oil cargo of 450,000 barrels loaded in August.

Together with our joint venture partner Repsol, we’re making great progress at Pikka and building an important new source of energy for our customers.

Backed by robust economics and long-life reserves, Pikka is positioned to underpin a strong future for Santos and Alaska.

School’s back! 🍏

As many students across Australia return to the classroom, it’s a great reminder of how natural gas and oil by-products help support the everyday essentials of modern education — from petroleum derived nylon in school uniforms to petrochemicals used in some printer inks, electronics and even reading glasses.

For Santos, our impact goes beyond energy. Our purpose is to provide affordable and reliable energy to help create a better world for everyone.

That’s energy where it matters.

Keeping up with Santos in the community!

Across Australia, our community teams have been out and about recently, connecting with people in the places we call home.

From local rugby matches to job expos, shows and festivals and even lending a hand at volunteer organisations, Santos is supporting the communities where we operate day in, day out.

See our teams in action. The pictures say it all! 🤩

Rugby in the regions just got another boost!

Last week, Roma hosted the sixth Santos Festival of Rugby, bringing Queensland and NSW teams, Vintage Reds and Classic Wallabies, and local clubs together for two days of first-class rugby and community spirit.

Now we're building on that. Together with QRU, we'll bring back a new-look Santos Reds To Regions program, so Reds players, staff and alumni can once again bring first-rate rugby experiences to communities across Queensland.

From the Roma Echidnas to the Queensland Reds, we're proud to back the game at every level.
