This week Santos and our GLNG joint venture partners recognised the loading of GLNG’s 1,000th LNG cargo from Curtis Island — a remarkable achievement that reflects the dedication of our people, the strength of our partnerships and the long-term contribution of Queensland’s LNG industry.

The impact of Queensland’s LNG industry is significant:

✅ $127 billion contributed to Queensland’s economy during the first decade of LNG exports.
✅ Nearly 60,000 jobs supported across the state.
✅ Around $4.5 million in Queensland royalties and $11.2 million in economic activity generated by every LNG cargo departing Gladstone.

Over the past decade, GLNG has delivered reliable energy to customers across Asia while supporting jobs, businesses and communities across Queensland. Every cargo represents the efforts of thousands of people — from our field operators and pipeline crews to plant operators, marine teams and contractors.

Thank you to our people, joint venture partners, customers and community partners who have helped make this milestone possible.

Santos and PRISM Energy International Australia have jointly marketed, sold and loaded the first condensate cargo from the Barossa gas project.

Santos Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Gallagher said the first condensate cargo was an important milestone for the Barossa gas project.

"The Darwin LNG plant is now producing at 97 per cent of planned rates, with LNG cargoes loading approximately every eight days and condensate now flowing to market.

"Australia is a trusted supplier of energy to key partner countries, and those same partners supply Australia with the refined fuels and energy products we rely on. South Korea is Australia’s second-largest supplier of refined liquid fuels and Santos is proud to actively support the energy security relationship between our two countries, supplying South Korea with both LNG and the condensate feedstock that South Korean refineries need to produce the jet fuel and diesel that the Australian economy relies upon. This cargo is that two-way relationship in action,” Mr Gallagher said.

The Darwin LNG plant is expected to be a long-term supplier of LNG and condensate to Asian markets, delivering economic benefits to Australia and the Northern Territory through investment, jobs, regional business opportunities, regional development, export income and government revenue.

Cracker camping ⛺

Santos strengthening training and employment pathways in the Northern Territory.

The Barossa Aboriginal Future Fund (BAFF) is proud to announce the launch of the Saltwater Pathways Program — a pilot training and employment initiative designed to create meaningful, long-term career pathways for Aboriginal people from the five BAFF regions.

The BAFF is supported by the Barossa joint venture partners Santos, PRISM Energy Australia and JERA Australia and will invest $3.05 million over three years to deliver the program, which will support up to 13 Aboriginal trainees from the five BAFF regions.

Santos Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Gallagher said the initiative reflects Santos’ ongoing commitment to supporting training and employment opportunities for Indigenous people across its operations.

“Since 2024, Santos has supported more than 20 trainees and apprentices at our Barossa and DLNG operations, with more than 50 per cent of our current cohort identifying as Indigenous,” said Mr Gallagher.

“Employment and economic participation have been consistently identified as priority needs across all BAFF regions. The Saltwater Pathways Program responds directly to this need by combining accredited training with practical experience in operational environments.”

Santos Cup 2026 Season Kicks Off 11 July

Santos is proud to continue its support of the Santos Cup - Papua New Guinea’s premier women’s rugby league competition!

Now in its third season, the Santos Cup continues to create pathways for emerging talent to progress from grassroots rugby league to the Santos PNG Orchids and beyond. This year’s competition is bigger than ever, featuring 10 rounds, including two weeks of finals, providing more opportunities for players to develop and showcase their skills on the national stage.

The competition is also creating leadership opportunities, with women making up 50% of the coaching staff across the six participating teams.

As Santos Country Chair PNG, Leon Buskens noted at this week’s launch, 2026 is an important year for rugby league in PNG, with the Santos Cup helping to elevate, empower and inspire the next generation of women and girls as the country looks ahead to the 2026 Rugby League World Cup.

We thank our valued partners PNGRFL, PacificAus Sports, KMHL (Kumul Minerals Holding Limited), Digicel, ExxonMobil and all stakeholders for their continued support in growing women’s rugby league in Papua New Guinea.

Santos has publicly released its updated 2030 Indigenous Participation Plan for the first time.

Training, education and jobs are the building blocks for economic empowerment. We want to provide more opportunities for more people and more businesses, and this plan outlines how we'll continue to do that.

Since 2021, we've made strong progress, including nearly doubling Indigenous employment and increasing Indigenous procurement spend from $9 million to $73 million.

Developed in consultation with our Indigenous employees and Indigenous Advisory Panel, the plan builds on this momentum with a focus on employment, career pathways, supplier opportunities, and strengthening relationships with communities.
